     OPERATION

     The PEWO-form EVP machine range has been designed for automatic erecting and filling of

     cases from the top and closing them, including an integrated palletizing system. The products,

     e.g. cartons, bottles, aerosol cans are grouped, either individually or as a pre-packed collation,

     to a complete case layer on a collating table. The six-axis Kuka robot inserts the layer into the

     case. Case blanks are taken out of a magazine by vacuum pickups, erected vertically and put on

     the filling station with the bottom closed. After filling the cases, they are transported by servo

     motors. The top and bottom flaps are closed by tape. Afterwards the cases are

     palletized by the robot according to a specified pallet layout. The pallet handling can be adjusted

     as per the customer’s specification up to a fully automated operation including pallet magazine

     and/or slip sheet magazine.
